CHANGE THE SETTINGS
TIME SHIFT is a very convenient feature when you
are away from the TV.
Whenever you turn on the HDR1000, it will start to
record its current program into the time shift buffer on
to the internal HDD. It will automatically play back the
content of the time shift buffer.
To change the buffer time size and record mode for
TIME SHIFT, follow steps below.
The default setting is as the following.
* Buffer time size: 30 Minute
* Record mode: HQ Mode
Before you begin, press HDD button so that the
blue HDD light appears on the front panel on the
HDR1000.
Display Menu screen.
Press MENU button.
Select Basic
Setup.
Press K or L button.
Then, press OK button.
Select Time
Shift.
Press K or L button.
Then, press OK button.
Move the cursor
to setting posi-
tion.
Press B button to move
the cursor.
Select Buffer
Time Size.
Press K or L button to
select your desired
buffer time size (30, 60, or 180 minutes).
Then, press B button twice to move the cursor.

Select Record Mode.
Press K or L button to
select your desired
record mode (LP, SQ or
HQ). Then press B but-
ton to move the cursor.
Refer to page 26 for
details on LP, SQ and HQ mode.
Save the data.
Confirm that Storeis selected.
Then, press OK button.
Exit the setting mode.
Press MENU button or press RETURN button
repeatedly to exit.
[TIME SHIFT PLAYBACK]
Press PAUSE button whilst you are
watching TV using the HDR1000
tuner.
The picture on the TV screen will pause.
Press PLAY button.
Time Shift Playback will start from the point when
you pressed the PAUSE button.
Press GO TO button to watch the live
broadcast.
• Special functions (Pause, Slow motion, and Fast
forward etc.) are available during playback.
Details are (“SPECIAL PLAYBACK”) on page 25.
• The recording of the program which is being
received or the signal from the external input will
continue even if you play back the title.
• If preset is changed,Time shift will be continued.
• If there is not enough space to record, a mes-
sage at step [7] will appear. In this case, press
MENU button, then change the Time Shift Buffer
setting. Or, press NAVI button, and delete Titles
in Navigation menu.
