Amplifying the Signal
The signal received at the antenna is all the signal the system will ever
have; amplifi ers can only prevent losing this signal as it runs to one or more
televisions. Therefore, mounting location and direction are very important.
An amplifi er or pre-amplifi er may be required if any of the following applies:
• The cable between the antenna and the television is longer than 50
feet.
• More than one television is connected to the antenna.
• The received signal is not strong enough to ensure consistent
performance.
