Stereo audio too noisy • Stereo signal is weak. Set RECEPTION: STEREO/SAP/MONO feature to
MONO.
• Press one of the TRACKING up or down buttons to minimize the noise.

S-VHS recording not made or no sound during • Check position of S-VH8 AUTO switch on VCR. See page 38.
playback • A tape with S-VHS must be used to make S-VHS recordings.
• Make sure the component's S-VIDEO connectors are connected using an S-VHS
cable.
• Be sure to also connect the audio cables. The S-VHS cable carries only video.
Tape plays over and over • Check setting of AUTO REPEAT ON/OFF menu. See page22.
Jog shuttle arrow buttons will not function • Press JOG SHUTTLE button to turn on jog shuttle buttons. Indicator will light.
• Indicator light off. Pressing any other button during jog shuttle operation will
turn off jog shuttle. Press JO6 SHUTTLE to _rn jog shuttle back on.
Tape continues forward or reverse search during • Press PLAY, PAUSE on the VCR or PLAY on the remote to return to normal
jog shuttle operation playback.
• Press • or • to place VCR in pause mode.
