Digital Output
Audio Options How to setup
If the DVD player is connected to a
Dolby Digital amplifier, set Dolby
Digital output to "bit stream".
If you select bit stream when the
player is connected to an audio
component, sound is not produced.
2X Scan Audio
Select "On" if you want to hear
sound during 2x playback.
Note: DVD-audio discs recorded
above 96kHz will not produce
sound during 2x playback.
DTS
Select "On" only if DTS audio is
recorded on the disc.
Dynamic Compression
Select "On" to apply dynamic com-
pression.
Select "Off" to apply standard
range.
DVD-Audio Mode
Audio Options How to setup
Select "On" when playing a DVD
Audio Disc like as a DVD Audio
Disc.
Select "Off" when playing a DVD
Audio Disc like as a DVD Video
Disc.
HDCD Attenuation
Select "On" to set the unit to play
back at 16 bit resolution if your
amplifier has 16 bit D to A convert-
ers.
This will help to avoid clipping.
Select "Off" to set the unit to play at
standard 20 bit HDCD resolution.
Speaker
Select this when setting up the
speakers.

54 for details.
