Setting Up Display Options
You can set options depending on your type of TV and DVD screen.
In the stop mode, press the
SETUP button.
The setup menu appears.
Use ▲▼ buttons to select
the option you want to set.
Use buttons to select the
value you want.
Use ▲▼ buttons to select the
Display menu and then press the
ENTER button.

Depending on the type of television you
have, you may want to adjust the screen
setting (aspect ratio)
Letter Box
:
You can see the total 16:9 ratio screen DVD,
but black bars will appear at the top and
bottom of the screen.
Pan-Scan:
You can see the central portion of the 16:9
screen. Extreme left and right side of movie
picture will be cut off.
Wide :
Select this if you are connecting the DVD player
to a wide screen TV. However, DVDs recorded
with 4:3 ratio cannot be viewed as the full 16:9
picture even if you setup as shown above.
You can select how you want to
compose the screen during a pause,
step motion, or search.
If you select FIELD, the screen will not shake, but
picture quality will slightly degrade.
If you select FRAME, the screen will shake, but
picture quality remains the same.
Display messages about the operation
status.
You can adjust the brightness of the
unit's front panel display.
If you select AUTO, the display is
dimmed during playback, but gets
brighter in the stop mode.
Brightness changes in the order:
AUTO DIMDIMBRIGHT.
Select On if want to increase the
brightness of the screen.
You are unable to adjust picture
brightness in case you select
progressive video out.
