SPECIAL PLAYBACK
Picture Search (Forward and Reverse)
1 Press the FF (or REW) button, during normal
playback.
ø
The image can be seen while the tape is
advanced (or rewound) at high speed.
2 To return to normal playback, press the PLAY button.
NOTES:
X During picture search, noise (horizontal bars) will
appear in the picture.
X The sound is muted.
Still Image
1 Press the STILL/PAUSE button, during normal
playback.
ø
A still image can be viewed.
2 To return to normal playback, press the PLAY button.
NOTES:
X If still mode continues for 5 minutes or more, the VCR
will go into stop mode to avoid damaging the tape.
X If the image is unstable (rolling vertically), adjust the
vertical lock control to correct.
Field Advance
1 Press the FF (or REW) button, during still image
mode.
ø
The still image is advanced (or rewound) of one
image (field).
2 To return to normal playback, press the PLAY button.
NOTES:
X During reverse field advance, noise will appear in the
picture.
X If field advance mode continues for 5 minutes or more,
the VCR will go into stop mode to avoid damaging the
tape.
Reverse Playback
1 Press and hold the REV button, during normal
playback.
ø
Reverse playback will start.
2 To return to normal playback, release the REV button.
NOTES:
X During reverse playback, noise will appear in the
picture.
X Reverse playback is only possible during 2-hour
playback speed mode.
X The sound is muted.
