Using the Parental Lock Settings
Selecting Parental
Lock Options
The Parental Lock Settings include the following options:
The Parental Lock Settings allows you to set up the TV to block programs
according to their content and rating levels.
To access the Parental Lock Setting, follow these steps:
Use the 0-9 buttons on the remote control to enter a four-digit password.
If this is the first time you are creating this password, confirm the password by
entering it again. (The Parental Lock Settings options appear.)
To change settings, press V v B b. Press
to confirm the selection.
To exit the Menu, press
MENU.

✍ You need your password for any future access into the Parental Lock Setting. If you lose your
password, see “Lost password” on page 52.

system, you should select Child,
Youth, or Y. A dul t to help
simplify the rating selection. To
set more specific ratings, select
Custom.

blocked from viewing.
Child Maximum ratings permitted are:

❏ Canada: C, G, TV-Y
Youth Maximum ratings permitted are:
❏ US: TV-PG, PG
❏ Canada: C8+, PG, 8 ans+, TV-PG

(Young Adult)
Maximum ratings permitted are:
❏ US: TV-14, PG-13
❏ Canada: 14+, 13 ans+, TV-14
Custom Select to set ratings manually.

Digital Rating
(When available)
The
Parental Lock
option in the
Digital Rating
settings allows
you to set up the TV to block digital programs that contain
digital ratings. This setting is only available if digital ratings
have been downloaded by your TV and ratings have been
set for
U.S.A
. in the
Parental Lock
settings.
Off Turn Parental Lock off. No programs are
blocked from viewing.
Custom... Select to block progrmas based on
downloadable ratings.
Clear All Select to clear all Custom settings.
