24 Advanced Operation
The Audio Adjustment menu
1. Press the MENU button to display the main menu.
2. Press the v button to highlight the icon, then press the b button to enter the Audio Adjustment
menu.
3. Sound Effect is highlighted. Press the v or V button to highlight the feature you require then press
the b button to confirm. The table below explains each feature and its function.
4. Press the MENU button to remove the menu from the TV screen.
Feature How to use
Sound Effect This feature allows you to select from
one of four sound modes.
Press the V or v buttons to select Natural*,
Dynamic*, Dolby V** or Personal.
Equaliser
Adjustment
This feature allows you to customise the
sound by adjusting five frequency bands.
Press the B or b button to select the required
band. Press the V or v button to adjust the
frequency level.
Virtual Effect This feature allows you to adjust the level
of the surround sound effect when
listening to a Dolby surround sound
broadcast.
Note: This feature is only available when
Sound Effect is set to Dolby V.
Press the B or b buttons to increase or
decrease the level of effect.
Balance This feature allows you to set the
balance of sound between the left and
right speaker.
Press the B or b buttons to set the balance.
Auto Vol.
Control
Sometimes the broadcast volume level
changes (e.g. adverts tend to be louder
than programmes). This feature allows
you to cancel this effect, giving a
constant volume level.
Press the V or v button to select On or Off.
Dual Sound When receiving a bi-ligual broadcast:
This feature allows you to choose which
language to listen to.
When receiving a stereo broadcast:
This feature allows you to choose
between mono or stereo sound.
When receiving a bi-ligual broadcast:
Press the V or v button to select A to listen to
the first language or B to listen to the second
language.
When receiving a stereo broadcast: Press
the V or v button to select Mono or Stereo.
Audio-out
Vol.
This feature allows you to
simultaneously set the volume level for
the headphone socket and the volume
level of the RCA sockets on the rear of
the TV.
Press the B or b buttons to increase or
decrease the headphone and RCA socket
volume.
Dual
Sound
When receiving a bi-ligual broadcast:
This feature allows you to select which
language is output through the
headphones.
When receiving a bi-ligual broadcast:
Press the V or v button to select A for the first
language or B for the second language.
Notes: *Natural and Dynamic are functions of the BBE High Definition Sound System. This system enhances
clarity, detail, presence of sound and increases musical realism.
