Choosing standard settings
The DVD player provides a standard setting, called Type 1,
which configures the 586 into the most commonly needed
configuration.
Choosing Type 1 overrides any other configuration you may
have performed, and so can be used to reset the configuration
of the unit.
To restore the standard settings
● Switch off the 586, using the power switch on the back panel.
● Switch off any power amplifiers that are connected to the 586
and put any digital speakers to standby.
● Switch on the power again while holding down the Off key on
the front panel.
After a short delay the display will show:
Type 1
● Wait for one second, and then switch off the 586 using the
power switch on the back panel.
● Switch on again to use the 586 with the standard setting.
