To change the fan setting
● Press Display until the display shows the current fan setting.
For example:
Fan Auto
● Press [ or ] until the display shows the setting you want.
For example:
Fan Off
The following fan settings are provided:
Setting Description
Fan Auto The fan switches on when a disc is
playing.
Fan Off The fan is off; only recommended in
cool environments.
Fan Always The fan is permanently on;
recommended if the 586 is used with
limited ventilation, such as in a cabinet.
To configure another source to control
the DVD player
By default the DVD player is selected by the DVD source, or the
DVD key on the Meridian System Remote (labelled TEXT on
earlier systems).
If you want to use another source, such as CD, to control the
DVD player:
● Press the corresponding source key on the Meridian System
Remote.
The display shows the source you have selected.
● Press [ or ] until the -C option is selected.
