Special Playback Features A-Z (cont.)

Skip Buttons
Press the Prev and Next but-
tons to skip forward/back-
ward one chapter/track at a
time. Note that the player will
not skip the WARNING section
of a disc.
Search Buttons
Press repeatedly to search for-
ward/backward at x2, x4, x8,
and x16 normal speed. Press
Play to resume normal play-
back. The player is muted in
Search mode.

Subtitle
Press the Subtitle button repeat-
edly during DVD playback to se-
lect alternative subtitle languag-
es (if available). A DVD can have
up to 32 subtitle selections.
Title
Press the Title button to return
to the DVD title menu (the first
track on a DVD disc). Some DVD
discs refuse the disc title func-
tion.
Video Off
During CD playback, press the
Vid. Off button to turn off the
video display and protect your
screen from possible burn-in.
Zoom
During DVD or JPEG Picture CD
playback, press the Zoom but-
ton repeatedly to magnify the
on-screen image in three levels.
While the image is zoomed, you
can use the Arrow buttons to
move around the image.
A-B
slow
step
Repeat (A-B)
Loops playback between two
points. Press the A-B button
once to set point A. Press the
A-B button a second time to set
point B and begin loop playback.
Press the A-B button a third time
to cancel A-B Repeat. The clip
should be at least 3 seconds.
Slow
Press repeatedly to for slow mo-
tion playback at 1/2, 1/4, 1/6,
and 1/8 normal speed. Press Play
to resume normal playback. The
player is muted in Search mode.
Step
Press the Step button to freeze
playback. Then press the Step
button repeatedly to step for-
ward one frame at a time.
