Setting up your TV
Installing remote control batteries
To install remote control batteries:
1 Open the battery compartment cover.
2 Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Make
sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries match the + and
– symbols in the battery compartment.
3 Replace the cover.
Notes:
• Do not mix different types of batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Remove batteries when they no longer have a charge. Chemicals
may leak into the battery compartment. Battery chemicals can
cause a rash. If chemicals leak, clean the battery compartment with
a cloth.
• Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the remote control
for an extended amount of time.
• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. Dispose of them as hazardous
waste.
Attaching the stand
Note: Your TV may look different than the illustrations in this procedure.
If you plan to set your TV on a flat surface, such as a table or cabinet, you
must install the stand.
Cautions:
• Make sure that you handle your TV carefully when installing or
removing the stand. If you are not sure comfortable with this
procedure or you do not know how to use the tools required to
complete this procedure, contact a professional installer or service
personnel. Dynex is not responsible for any damages or injuries that
may occur because of mishandling or incorrect assembly.
• When you lay your TV face down, make sure that you place is on a
soft cushion or covering to prevent damage to the screen or case.
• The speaker is not intended to support the weight of your TV. Do not
use the speaker as a handle for moving your TV because you may
damage your TV. This type of damage is not covered by your
warranty.
• Before you attach or remove the stand, make sure that the power
cord is unplugged.
To attach the stand:
1 Remove the stand from the box and place it on a table or work
bench.
2 Lay your TV face down on the edge of the table or work bench.
Caution: Make sure that you place your TV on a soft cushion or covering
to prevent damage to the screen or case.
3 Align the holes on the stand with the holes in the stand column
and align the locating groove in the stand with the locator in the
stand column. Make sure that the locater is fully inserted into the
locating groove, or your TV may be unstable and tip over.
4 Secure the stand to the column with the four M5 screws
(provided).
5 Place your TV upright.
