Dubbing A Part Of A Cassette
You can dub the selected scenes on a tape to the DVD disc,
starting and stopping wherever you wish.
1 For DVD deck
Load a recordable disc.
For VHS deck
Load a cassette you want to dub.
2 Press VHS] to select the dubbing direction.
● “]” lights up on the unit.
3 Set “VHS]DVD DUBBING” to “1 PROG”. (੬ pg. 81)
4 Prepare the VHS deck for dubbing.
A Press VHS/DVD on the unit repeatedly or VHS on the remote
control so that the VHS lamp lights up on the unit.
B Locate the point from where you want to start dubbing, then
pause playback.
● During still picture on the VHS deck, the images may jitter, but this is
not a malfunction.
5 Prepare the DVD deck for dubbing.
A Press VHS/DVD on the unit repeatedly or DVD on the remote
control so that the DVD lamp lights up on the unit.
B Press REC MODE repeatedly to set the recording mode.
C Press and hold 7, then press 9 so that the DVD deck enters
the Record Pause mode.
6 Press and hold DUBBING for more than 2 seconds to start
dubbing.
7 Press 8 to stop recording on the DVD deck.
● Both the VHS deck and the DVD deck are stopped.
● After dubbing is completed, press VHS] so that “]” lights off. If it is
not done, recording on the DVD deck is not possible.
NOTES:
● It is not possible to dub a tape with a copy protection signal.
● If there is no remaining recording time left on a DVD disc, the tape
automatically stops at that position.
● It is not possible to perform other operations like Live Memory
Playback. Check the recorded programme on the disc after dubbing.
Manual Dubbing (From VHS To DVD)
● Turn on the unit.
● Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
● Slide the TV/DVD switch to DVD.
● Make sure that both the DVD deck and the VHS deck are in the
stop mode.
