8. DBS channels are not automatically
switched during timer recording.

uled, but the channel is always
incorrect.

Connect the Controller correctly
(
pg. 18).
After confirming your DBS receiver’s
output channel number, re-access the
DBS Receiver Output screen and
select the correct number ( pg. 19).
Set the correct DBS Receiver brand
code ( pg. 20).
Make sure the power is on before
timer recording starts.
Set "CABLE BOX OUTPUT" to "OFF"
( pg. 14).
Re-perform the G-CODE setup
procedure ( pg. 16).
Wait until a space in memory clears,
or cancel unnecessary program
information ( pg. 44).
The Controller is not properly
connected to the VCR.
The output channel selected in the
DBS Receiver Output screen is
incorrect.
The VCR is not set correctly to
control the DBS Receiver
The DBS receiver’s power is off.
Even though you don't use an
external Cable Box, "CABLE BOX
OUTPUT" is set to "ON".
The receivable stations in the new area
are received on different channels than
those in the previous area.
All 8 programs of the VCR’s timer
memory are used.
OTHER PROBLEMS
CORRECTIVE ACTION
If you need the skipped channels,
restore them ( pg. 12).
Press PAUSE to pause the recording,
change channels, then press PLAY to
resume recording.
Set the switch to the correct position.
Re-set the remote control to the
correct brand ( pg. 53 or 54 or 55).
Select a different Host Channel during
the Semi-Auto setting procedure
( pg. 8), or perform the Manual
setting procedure ( pg. 9).
SYMPTOM
1. When scanning channels, some of
them are skipped over.
2. The channel can’t be changed.
3. The remote control won’t operate
my TV or cable box or DBS receiver.
4. Even though Auto or Semi-Auto
clock setting has been selected, the
clock is incorrect.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Those channels have been preset to
be skipped.
Recording is in progress.
The TV/CABLE/VCR switch is set to
the wrong position.
The remote control brand setting is
incorrect.
The clock setting data received from
the Host Channel is incorrect.
ATTENTION:
This VCR contains microcomputers. External electronic noise or interference can cause microcomputer to malfunction. If the
VCR does not operate correctly switch its power off and unplug the power cord from the AC supply. Wait for a while and then
plug the power back in. Eject and check the condition of the cassette. If everything appears normal resume operating the VCR as
usual.
