Cause
z An unplayable disc is inserted.
z The disc is placed upside down.

z There is an obstacle in the path of
the Remote Control and this unit.
z The batteries in the Remote Control
are exhausted.
z The Remote Control is not pointed
at the remote sensor of the
DVD+VCR.
z The Remote Control is too far from
the DVD+VCR.
z This Remote Control use the same
buttons for VCR and DVD functions
(ex.PLAY).
z The Remote Control of a JVC TV or
Receiver cannot operate the DVD+
VCR.
z Camcorder is off.
z DVD+VCR SOURCE SELECT is
not set to LINE1 or LINE2.
z Clock in DVD+VCR is not set to
correct time.
z Timer has been programmed
incorrectly.
z indicator light does not appear
after programming timer.
Correction
z Insert a playable disc. (Check the
disc type and Regional code.)
z Place the disc with the playback side
down.
z Place the disc on the disc tray cor-
rectly inside the guide.
z Clean the disc.
z Eject the tape in.
z Select STEREO by repeatedly
pressing A.MONITOR on the
Remote Control.
z Remove the obstacle.
z Replace the batteries with new ones.
z Point the Remote Control at the
remote sensor of the DVD+VCR.
z Operate the Remote Control within
23ft (7m).
z When using a VCR, first press the
VCR button. When using a DVD, first
press the DVD button.
z Use the DVD+VCR’s Remote
Control.
z Turn camcorder on and operate
properly.
z Press AUX to select LINE input
channel (LINE1 or LINE2).
z Set clock to correct time.
z Reprogram Timer.
z Reprogram Timer and turn
DVD+VCR off to enable timer.
