8-19. Setting Locks
TV Rating for Children’s Programs
Keeps children from watching certain children’s TV programs according to the ratings limit as
defined by the TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board. This rating applies only to TV programs
for children. Unless you block TV programs intended for mature audiences in the TV Rating –
General menu, your children may view those programs.
To block TV programs:
1.
Press the
MENU
button on the Remote Control to display the on-screen menu.
2.
Scroll down using “
E
” on the remote control.
3.
Select t
he Lock me
nu by pressing “”.
4.
Scroll down to TV Rating-Children using “
E
”.
5.
Select Age or Content, if you want to lock a TV program based on age or content.
6.
Select the level you want using “
DE
” and press “” to return to the previous level.
7.
Press the
EXIT
button on the remote control to return to TV viewing.
NOTE
TV Rating Children Programs
TV-Y: All Children.
This program is designed to be appropriate for all children.
TV-Y7: Directed to Older Children.
This program is designed for children age 7 and above.
