Starting the DVR - Self Test Screens
Once the DVR has been connected and powered on, the following self-test screens will appear:
NOTE: This unit does NOT include a Hard Drive.
LOREX
STANDALONE DVR
[ V #.## ]
MASTER HDD ***************
SLAVE HDD ........... NOT INSTALLED
AUDIO OK
SYSTEM START:
The first loading screen indicates the
DVR type and firmware version as
[ V #.## ]
HARD DRIVE DETECTION:
The second loading screen detects the
MASTER and SLAVE HARD DRIVES.
The drive detection shows the model and
type of drive, or indicates NOT
INSTALLED if a drive is not found.
The AUDIO is also checked at this time
NOTE: If a new HARD DRIVE is detected by the system, the DVR may prompt you
to FORMAT the drive by pressing the MENU button. If you do not choose to format
the HARD DRIVE, the drive will not be detected by the DVR.
If you choose to FORMAT a drive in this way, the drive will no longer be readable by
a regular PC without using the HARD DRIVE VIEWER software included on the CD
provided with this unit.
