Parental Password 49
The Parental feature prevents viewing of DVDs that exceed your rating limits.
This feature will not limit viewing if the DVD is not rated or coded. Check your
DVDs and settings before letting children access the TV/DVD.
The Parental feature affects only DVD viewing. It does not block TV
programming.To block TV viewing, change the V-Chip settings. Details are
on pages 23-27.
You will need a password to change the Parental settings or to play a
blocked disc. Follow these steps to enter or change your password.
● Before you begin, press SELECT to put the TV/DVD in DVD
mode.Then, press PLAY B or OPEN/CLOSE A to activate DVD
mode.

While playback is stopped, press SETUP once.
The TV SETUP menu appears.

Press SETUP again.
The QUICK SETUP screen will appear.

Press s or B to select CUSTOM at the top of the menu, then
press ENTER.

Press s or B to select (PARENTAL),
then press ENTER.

If this is the first time you set a password, this menu will appear.
Press the Number buttons to enter a 4-digit password. The
password will appear on the screen.Write it down so you don’t forget
it. Press ENTER, and proceed to step 7.

If you have set a password before, this menu will appear.
Press the Number buttons to enter your current 4-digit
password. Asterisks ( * ) will appear instead of your password.This
protects its identity. Press ENTER, and proceed to step 7.
