• If, a_erfinishing programming, you want to make changes to the numbers you entered at the YOUR CABLE BOX CODE
screen or the YOUR CABLE BOX OUTPUT CH screen, press the MENU button to exit, then start again at step 1.
• If you want to make changes while programming, press the CLEAR button until the cursor is on the item you want to
change, then enter the correct information. Repeat until all information is correct.
• If ? appears after you enter the YOUR CABLE BOX CODE number at step 5, the number being entered is incorrect in some
way. Press the CLEAR button on the remote control. "Then use the Number buttons to enter the correct number.
• Ifyou don't complete steps 4 - 7 within 60seconds of completing the previous step, CABLE BOX CONTROL IS OFF will
appear on-screen for three seconds, then the on-screen display will disappear.
• Although the provided cable box controller can be operated with many different cable converter box brands, it may not work
with your cable converter box.
• Ifyour cable converter box does not respond to any of the codes on page 36, you cannot select channels at the VCR when pro-
gramming a timer recording. If this happens, you must turn the cable box on and tune it to the channel you want to record
before a timer recording is programmed to start.
• You may ask your cable company about the possibility of exchanging your current cable box for one that can be operated with
this remote control.
• You can use the VCR and cable box controller to change the cable box channel only when programming a timer recording.
• If your cable box cannot be controlled by a remote control, you will not be able to select channels at the VCR when program-
ming a timer recording. In this case, you must turn the cable box on and tune it to the channel you want to record before q timer
recording is programmed to start.
