TV Connections
Auto Input Sensing
The TV’s Auto Input Sensing feature automatically rec-
ognizes many connections and prompts you to identify
the type of device connected. See page 15 for more on
Auto Input Sensing.
Connection Types
Use the connection types available on your input
devices that will give the best video quality. For
example, choose HDMI over component video; choose
component video over composite video.
Picture Quality
For best picture quality, route signals directly from the
source device to the TV whenever possible.
Surround Sound
To use the surround sound capabilities of the TV’s •

Accessory items such as cables, adapters,
splitters, or combiners required for TV
