Normalisation N
Pressing the Normal ( ) Button on the remote control, will return all sound settings to the factory preset
levels. This is called “Normalisation”.
Normalisation will only occur if the Sound Menu is not displayed when the Normal ( ) Button is pressed.
Notes:
1. You can change the level for each function (Bass and Treble) for each sound mode option.
2. Sound menu levels can be set for TV, AV1, AV2, AV3 and AV4 modes.

Push TV/AV at any time to return to
watching TV.
Push the STR button after making an
adjustment will store the new setting as
the default value, replacing the factory
setting.
Adjusts the output volume.
Used to boost or cut low frequency sounds.
Used to boost or cut high frequency sounds.
Adjusts the sound balance between the left and right speakers.
Adjust for output volume for the headphones. This volume is independant of the
television speakers so that everyone can enjoy listening at a level comfortable for
them.
When in PiP, the sound corresponds to the main picture.
Switches between Stereo and Mono. During times of poor reception it is recom-
mended that the MPX be switched to mono.
Switches between MUSIC and SPEECH settings.
MUSIC Amplifies the low frequencies and outputs optimum sound. Used for
music programmes, video clips, action movies etc.
SPEECH Human voices (middle pitch sounds) will be more clear. Used for
News broadcasts etc.
Turns the ambience (surround sound) On or Off.
