Connecting Equipment to the TV - Rear Panel

Connecting component video to AV1.
Use the supplied Scart to RCA cable.
Connecting component video to AV4.
Use the supplied Scart adaptor. Use RCA cables (not supplied) to connect the VCR YUV out to the TV YUV
in. Use RCA cables (not supplied) to connect the VCR Audio out to the Scart adaptor audio In. Make sure that
the Scart adaptor is switched to IN.
Monitor Out and Audio Out
The AV2 socket is also the monitor output. Connect the Monitor out from this television to the AV Input of a
second television, VCR or DVD recorder. See page 16 to set up the signal source for AV2 out. Use the
supplied Scart adaptor. Make sure that the Scart
adaptor is switched to OUT. Use RCA cables (not
supplied) to connect the external equipment to the
Scart adaptor.
If a video recorder is connected to the Monitor Out and
video sources (VCR, video disc, camera etc.) are
connected to one of the other AV Inputs, the television
becomes a visual display for editing or copying. *
The audio output can be connected to a stereo amplifier
or recorder. *
The audio output corresponds to the programme being
shown on screen.
NOTE:
Never connect the same video recorder or other device to both the VIDEO IN and MONITOR OUT terminals of
this television as this could cause incorrect operation.

Special note for TX-76PW60A and TX-66PW60A
Make sure that the DVD player or set-top box is set for “Interlaced” out put. “Progressive” signals can cause
erratic operation of these televisions.
