3 Put the front panel into provided pro-
tective case for safe keeping.
Attaching the front panel
1 Make sure the inner cover is closed.
2 Align the top of the front panel to the
unit.
3 Press the bottom of the front panel
until it is clicked.
Note
In the following cases,remove the front panel
and then attach itagain:
! When nothing appears inthe sub-display.
! When beep sounds.
Built-in DVD player basic
operations
Playing a disc
1 Press EJECT to open the front panel.
Disc loading slot appears.
# When a disc isloaded in this unit, touch the
source icon and thentouch DVD to select DVD.
2 Insert a disc into the disc loading slot.
Front panel is closed automatically, and play-
back will start.
Disc loadingslot
# When DVD DISC AUTOis off, touch the
source icon and thentouch DVD to select the
built-in DVD player(refer to page 23).
# If you are playing aDVD or Video CD, amenu
may appear. Refer to Operatingthe DVD menu on
page 34 and PBCplayback on page 40.
# When the automatic playbackfunction is on,
this unit will cancelthe DVD menu and automati-
cally start playback fromthe first chapter of the
first title. Referto Automatic playback ofDVDs on
page 37.
# You can eject adisc by pressing EJECT.
Notes
! The DVD player playsone, standard, 12-cm or
8-cm (single) disc ata time. Do not use an
adapter when playing 8-cm discs.
! Do not insert anythingother than a disc into
the disc loading slot.Discs which can be
played back are listedon Playable discs on
page 9.
