Display Window
1 96 kHz indicator
Indicates play of a disc outputting an audio signal
with a sampling frequency of 96 kHz.
2 ANGLE indicator
Indicates Multi-Angle playback is in progress
(page 49).
3 TITLE indicator
Indicates a title number is being displayed.
4 VOCAL indicator
Indicates that the Vocal function is on.
5 VOCAL PARTNER indicator
Indicates that the Vocal Partner function is on.
6 REPEAT indicator
Indicates that the Repeat function is on (page 50).
7 TRK and CHP indicator
Indicates a chapter or track number is being
displayed.
8 GUI indicator
Lights when the Karaoke or Setup on-screen menus
are being displayed (pages 22 and 30).
9 LAST MEMORY indicator
Indicates the Last Memory location is recorded in
memory for the currently loaded DVD or Video CD
(page 53).
0 COND. MEMORY indicator
Indicates that Condition Memory settings are
memorized for the currently loaded DVD (page 54).
- TOTAL indicator
Indicates that the disc in the player is stopped and
DISPLAY has been pressed (page 55).
= DTS indicator
Indicates DVD DTS audio playback.
~ REMAIN indicator
Indicates that the remaining playback time of a title
or chapter/track is being displayed.
! DOLBY DIGITAL indicator
Indicates Dolby Digital audio playback on DVDs.
@ Counter display
Displays the playback mode, type of disc, title and
chapter/track numbers, playback time, etc.
# Program Format indicators
During Dolby Digital playback depending on the
audio format recorded on the disc loaded in the
player, the following indicators light to show the
channels being played back.
L: Left front*

, S: Surround (mono)*

RS: Right surround*

LFE: Low frequency effects*

*1: Lights to indicate playback of a 5.1 ch Dolby

*2: Lights to indicate playback of a Dolby
*2: Surround source.
The LFE (low frequency effects) channel indicator
indicates 5.1 channel audio that contains a channel
for low frequency sounds that are used by the sub
woofer.
Note
During playback of Dolby Digital multiplex compatible DVD
karaoke discs, the Program Format indicators do not light.
$ DOWNMIX indicator
During multichannel audio playback, indicates that
the out put signal has been “downmixed” from the
original audio source. This is an automatic function
performed by the player in order to present the most
appropriate audio mix to the speakers present in
your system.
