Setting Up the VCR
Setup for a Digital
Satellite Receiver
With this setup, the VCR turns on an RCA, ProScan, or GE
satellite receiver antenna and tunes it to the desired
channel at the start time of a timer recording. For other
brands, the VCR tunes the receiver to the desired channel
only if the receiver is turned on. Position the satellite
receiver above the VCR as shown in the Connections
section.
1. Press MENU to display the VCR MAIN MENU.

2. Press 4 to display CHANNELS menu.

3. Press 6 to select the SAT SETUP menu.
SAT SETUP
On what channel does
the VCR receive signals
from the SAT receiver?
(usually 3, 4, or video)

Press MENU to cancel
4. Enter the output channel of your satellite receiver,
usually 03, 04, or video line input and press MENU. The
VCR confirms that it receives all satellite signals on the
specified channel.
Satellite Viewing Channels
Even though you are offered channels
1-125, most modern satellite systems
can only broadcast to channels 3, 4 or
the Video INPUT “channel” (Selected
with the INPUT button on the remote
control). It is highly recommended
that you chose one of these three for
your satellite system’s broadcast. For
