Program the Remote
You’ll use these buttons when you
program the remote to control an
auxiliary component.

Programming the Remote to
Control Auxiliary Components
Your remote can also control the brands of the equipment
listed, such as a radio, CD player, tape player, or
phonograph. It is already programmed to control some
ProScan and RCA amplifiers and audio/video receivers.
1. Turn on the component to be programmed.
2. Look up your component’s code number on the code
list.
3. Press and hold the AUX button.
4. Enter the 4-digit code from the code list on the next
page.
5. Release the AUX button and press ON•OFF or CHAN up
or down to see if the auxiliary component responds to
the remote commands.
Operating the Auxiliary Component
After you have programmed your remote, see which
buttons will operate your component.
1. Point the remote at the component and press AUX. If it
does not turn on, press AUX and then ON•OFF.
2. You may want to experiment to see which buttons will
operate your component. Try pressing buttons, such as
play, REVERSE, and FORWARD.
