You can automatically or manually tune in to FM and AM stations
to listen to radio broadcasts.
1 Press the FM/AM button.
• Each time you press the button, the band alternates between
FM and AM.
2 Tune in to a station.

➢ The FM/AM function cannot be selected while operating the

1 Press the FM/AM button to select the FM band.
• Each time you press the button, the band alternates between
FM and AM.
2 Select a channel to choose the memory address to which you want
to store the station.
3 Use the

buttons to tune in to 89.1 FM.
4 Press the

button or the ENTER button on the remote control.
• 89.1 FM is stored in FM1.
➢ To store other channels, repeat the steps 2 to 4 above.

SOUND mode/effect function
This feature simulates the sound of different acoustic spaces.
1 Press the SOUND MODE button.
• Each time you press the button,
the sound mode changes as
follows.
• The SOUND mode adds an acoustic
surround effect during playback of
stereo analog or linear PCM digital
signals.
2 Press the SOUND EFFECT button.
• Each time you press the button, the selection alternates between
EFFECT 1 and EFFECT 2.
• The higher the number, the greater the effect.
• If you press the button while in the STEREO mode, the selection
alternates between STEREO and 4 STEREO.
• When in 4 STEREO mode, you’ll hear equal output from the front
and rear speakers.
