Using Menu Functions
Digital Set-up menu
You can select the options listed below on the “Digital
Set-up” menu. To select options in “Settings”, refer to
“Navigating through menus” (page 26).

Some functions may not be available in some areas.
Digital Settings
Displays the “Digital Settings” menu.
Audio Set-up
This option enables you to enjoy audio in various environments.
“Audio Output Control”: Sets the priority for digital audio output (optical) (when
“Dolby Digital” and “MPEG” audio are available).
“MPEG Audio Adjustment”: Adjusts MPEG audio Control level to Dolby Digital
audio level.
Time Set-up
Sets the time zone in which you are using the TV. For details, refer to “Auto-tuning
the TV” on page 7.
Digital Tuning
Displays the “Digital Tuning” menu.
Full Scan
Tunes in all the available digital channels.
Usually you do not need to do this operation because the channels were already tuned
when the TV was first installed (page 6). However, this option allows you to repeat
the process (e.g. to retune the TV after moving house, or to search for new channels
that have been launched by broadcasters). For details, refer to “Auto-tuning the TV”
on page 7.
Quick Scan
Tunes in all the expected digital channels in your area.
Usually you do not need to do this operation because the channels were already tuned
when the TV was first installed (page 6). However, this option allows you to repeat
the process (e.g. to retune the TV after moving house, or to search for new channels

on page 6.
Manual Scan
This option allows channels to be manually tuned and stored. Due to the technical
nature of the settings, it is recommended that only experienced service personnel use
this option.
