Menu Configuration and
the Menu List
The unit has two kinds of menus: one is the menu
displayed by pressing the MENU button, and the other
is the title list menu displayed by pressing the LIST
button.
This section describes the configuration and the list of
the menu displayed by pressing the MENU button.
For detailed information on menu operation, see“Basic
Menu Operations” on page 50. For detailed information
on the title list menu, see “Playing From the TITLE LIST
Display” on page 39.
About the front panel display during menu
operation
This manual uses the monitor display for explaining the
menu operation. The items currently highlighted on the
monitor display are displayed on the main display
section of the front panel display.
Whenever you push the B, b, V or v button, the display
changes.
Menu Configuration
Press the MENU button. The TOP menu appears.
The TOP menu is configured as follows.
• REPEAT FUNCTION menu
• DISC INFO menu
• SETUP MENU

Menu List
This section describes menus displayed by pressing the
MENU button, using lists.
The setting surrounded with indicates the factory
setting.
REPEAT FUNCTION menu
This menu allows you to repeat playback between two
points (A-B repeat), playback of the chapter and the
title.
DISC INFORMATION menu
The menu allows you to verify details of the disc,
finalize and format the disc.

REPEAT A-B To play a segment specified by two points
(point A and point B) repeatedly
REPEAT
CHAPTER
To play the chapter currently being
played repeatedly
REPEAT TITLE To play the title currently being played
repeatedly
CLEAR REPEAT To stop the current repeat playback

DISC NAME To display the disc name
MEDIA To display the media type (display only)
TITLE COUNT To display the number of titles recorded
on a disc (display only)
REC DATE FIRST: Oldest recording date among
titles recorded in one disc.
LATEST: Latest recording date among
titles recorded in one disc.
(Both are only displayed)
DISC REMAIN To display the remaining recording
capacity in units of time for each
recording mode (display only)
FINALIZE To finalize a disc
FORMAT To format a disc
