5-4 Removing and Installing the Backplane
The SC827 chassis backplane is located behind the hard drives and in front of
the front system fans. Although backplane failure rarely occurs, in the event of a
backplane failure, follow the instructions below.
Removing the Backplane

Power down and unplug the system from any power source.1.
Remove the chassis cover.2.
Disconnect the cabling to the backplane. 3.
Remove all of the hard drive trays from the front of the chassis.4.
Remove the ve upper screws at the top of the backplane and the screw from 5.
the side of the chassis, as indicated by the arrows below.
