TheTLV320AIC3007ADCprovidestheoptionofenablingahigh-passfilter,whichhelpstoreducethe
effectsofDCoffsetsinthesystem.TheFigure15tabshowstheoptionsforprogrammingvariousfilter
associatedwiththeADC.Thehigh-passfilterhastwomodes:standardandprogrammable.
Thestandardhigh-passfilteroption(Figure16)allowsfortheselectionofthehigh-passfilterfrequency
fromseveralpresetoptionsthatcanbechosenwiththeLeftADCHPFilterandRightADCHPFilter
controls.Thefouroptionsforthissettingaredisabledorthreedifferentcornerfrequencieswhichare
basedontheADCsamplerate.

Forcustomfilterrequirements,theprogrammablefunctionallowscustomcoefficientstoachievea
differentfilterthanprovidedbythepresetfilters.Thecontrolsfortheprogrammablehigh-passfilterare
locatedundertheProgrammableFiltersheading.Thefollowingstepsdescribetheprocess:
1.EnterthefiltercoefficientsintheHPFiltercontrolsnearthebottomofthetab.
2.PresstheDownloadCoefficientsbuttontodownloadthecoefficientstothecodecregisters.
3.EnabletheProgrammableHigh-PassFiltersbyselectingtheLeftADCandRightADCbuttons.
Theprogrammablehigh-passfilterisnowcorrectlyprogrammedandenabled.TheADCcanbeenabled
withthehigh-passfilter.
TheADCdigitaloutputsstreamcanberoutedthroughthedigitaleffectsfilterinthecodectoallowcustom
audioperformance.ThedigitaleffectsfiltercannotoperateonboththeADCorDACatthesametime.
