E Connecting to a TV and an AV receiver equipped with a DTS decoder
Use a commercially available 75 ohm coaxial cord when connecting the unit to an AV receiver with a Digital In jack. The
supplied Audio/video cord is also available instead of a coaxial cord.

Set the setup menu correctly after connecting!
Set the "TV Aspect" and "Digital out" of the setup menu
according to the audio equipment and TV connected to the
unit as follows:
(See "CHANGING SETUP VALUES" on page 40 for details.)
Digital out
"Dolby Digital" to "PCM"
"DTS" to "Bitstream"
TV Aspect
When your TV is a conventional-screen size TV:
L-BOX or P-SCAN
When your TV is a wide-screen size TV:
16:9
CAUTION
When connecting an AV receiver not equipped with a DTS
decoder using a coaxial connecting cord, do not set "DTS"
to "Bitstream" in "Digital out" of the setup menu.
Merely attempting to play a DVD may cause a screeching
noise which could be harmful to your ears and damage the
speakers. In such a case, be sure to set "DTS" to "Of f" in
"Digital Out".
