SETTING THE BUZZER
A buzzer can be set to sound during alarm recording, if
the tape reaches the end during recording, if buttons are
pressed, if there is a mechanical failure that causes the
tape to stop or be ejected, or if the VCR enters a mode
other than recording mode while recording is in progress.

Press the MENU button to display the MAIN MENU.

Press the l (or j) button to select the “3.BUZZER
SET” line, then press the ENTER button.
ø The (BUZZER SET) menu appears.

3 Press the ENTER button.
4 Press the l (or j) button to select the desired
mode, then press the ENTER button.
SET UP . . . . Set each item
ALL Y . . . . . . To set all items to “Y”
ALL N. . . . . . To set all items to “N”
œ If using the “SET UP” setting, continue with steps
5 to 7.

Press the l (or j) button until the item for which the
buzzer function will be set is highlighted, then press
the ENTER button.
6 Press the l (or j) button to set “Y” (sound a buzzer)
or “N” (not sound a buzzer), then press the ENTER
button.
ALARM. . . . . The buzzer will be heard during
alarm recording.
TAPE END. . The buzzer will be heard when the
end of the tape is reached during
recording. To stop the buzzer,
press the STOP, EJECT, PLAY,
FF or REW button.
KEY IN . . . . . The buzzer will be heard when
one of the VCR buttons is pressed.
WARNING . . The buzzer will be heard if the
tape stops or is ejected due to a
problem with the internal
mechanism.
The buzzer may also be heard
depending on the settings for
“THREAD CHECK” and “VIDEO
LOSS” in the (GENERAL SET)
menu, and “VIDEO LOSS” in the
(WARNING OUT/EJECT SET)
menu.
To stop the buzzer, press the
STOP button twice.
NON REC . . The buzzer will be heard if the
VCR enters a mode other than
recording mode while recording is
in progress.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 when setting other items.

When finished, press the MENU EXIT button.
NOTES:
œ If “N” is set, the buzzer will not be heard.
œ The buzzer will not be heard when a button is pressed
during security lock mode or alarm recording mode,
even if “KEY IN” is set to “Y”.
