Speeding up disc playback
To speed up playback of a disc:
Press (search back) or (search ahead) on the remote control while the
disc is playing. Each time the button is pressed, the disc is advanced or
reversed at up to six step speeds, depending on the type of disc.
For CDs, the available speeds are 2X, 4X, 6X, and 8X.
For MP3 discs, the available speed is 8X.
For DVD videos, the available speeds are 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X, and
64X.
To resume normal playback, press (play) on the DVD player or remote
control.
Slowing down DVD playback
To slow down playback of a DVD video:
1 Pause the DVD video as described in “Pausing a disc” on page 34.
2 Press (search back) or (search ahead) on the remote control. Each time
the button is pressed, the disc is advanced or reversed slowly at three step
speeds (1/2X, 1/4X, 1/8X). Pressing the button a fourth time returns to
normal speed.
To resume normal playback, press (play) on the DVD player or remote
control.
