Rewinding the tape

If your videocassette has the safety tab removed, the VCR will stop and automatically rewind
the videocassette, eject it, and turn off the power when it reaches the end of the tape or a
blank section of tape which lasts for more than 30 seconds.
Note: This function works only in PLAYBACK mode, not in RECORDING mode.
To remove noise from the picture
Auto Tracking
Pressing the PLAY button starts the auto tracking feature, which automatically adjusts
playback to eliminate static lines or picture noise that may appear on the screen.
Manual Tracking
Scratched tapes or poorly recorded tapes may require additional picture adjustment. You can
do this with the remote control.
Note: To reactivate auto tracking, simply eject the tape and reinsert it into the VCR.
1 Press the CH ( or ) button on the remote control or TRACKING button on the VCR
when viewing a cassette.
Press either the or buttons until picture is clear.
