Using the remote control
To use the remote control:
• Point the remote control towards the remote
sensor on the front of your TV. The remote
must be within 16 feet of the TV.
Setting up your TV
Installing remote control batteries
To install the remote control batteries:
1 Remove the battery cover.
2 Insert two AAA batteries into the battery
compartment. Make sure that you match the
+ and – symbols on the batteries with the +
and – symbols in the battery compartment.
3 Replace the cover.
Unpacking your TV and installing it on the
pedestal
To install the TV on the pedestal:
1 Open the box and lift the foam packing
material on top of the TV out of the box.
2 Lift the TV out of the box, with the bottom
foam packing material still in place, and place
it on a stable surface.
3 Remove the protective bag from the TV, but
DO NOT remove the bottom foam packing
material from the TV.

14 DISPLAY Press to display information about the
program currently being viewed (if
available).

Press these keys to move down, up, left,
or right in the on-screen menus. Press
ENTER to confirm selections in the
on-screen menu.
16 EXIT Press to exit the on-screen menu.
17 INPUT Press to select the video input signal
source (TV/CABLE, VIDEO1, VIDEO2,
VIDEO3, VIDEO4, VIDEO5, VIDEO6, or
COMPUTER.
18 VOL + / – Press to adjust the volume up or down.
19 RECALL Press to return to the previously viewed
channel.
20 Number buttons Press to enter channel numbers.
In the on-screen menu, press to enter
your parental control password.
21 CCD Press to directly access Closed Caption
settings.
22 AUDIO Press to select from the various preset
Audio modes (Surround - Live - Dance -
Techno - Classic - Soft - Soft - Rock -
Pop).
23 VIDEO Press to directly select video inputs
(Video 1 or Video 2)
24 COMP Press to directly select component
inputs (Video 3 or Video 4)
25 HDMI Press to directly select HDMI input
(Video 6)
Notes
• Do not expose the remote control to shock or
liquids.
• Do not use the remote control in an area with
high humidity.
• Do not place the remote control in direct
sunlight.
• Do not place objects, such as furniture,
between the remote control and the remote
sensor.
• The remote control may not work if direct
sunlight or bright light shines on the remote
sensor. Either move your TV or change the
angle at which you use the remote control.

• Do not mix batteries of different types.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Remove batteries when the charge is depleted.
• Battery chemicals can cause a rash. If the
batteries leak, clean the battery compartment
with a cloth. If chemicals touch your skin, wash
immediately.
• If the remote control is not going to be used for
an extended period of time, remove the
batteries.
