- See if the power cord became unplugged.
- Check for a blown fuse or circuit breaker or a power outage.
- Are the POWER LED and/or the ON TIMER LED on the front panel of the television blinking?
If these LED indicators are blinking, there is a problem with the television. Refer to the table on the
next page and take the appropriate measures.
- Are the 10 LED indicators on the front panel blinking while moving clockwise?
When the LED indicators on the front panel are blinking while moving clockwise, the television is in
the cooling mode. The television can not be operated while the cooling is being performed. Press the
POWER button when the cooling has been completed. (Refer to page 9.)
- After pressing the power button, if you see all 10 LEDs on the front panel light up, but the unit goes
into cooling mode and you cannot then turn the television on, the filter inside the air duct may not be
properly installed or the lamp may be dead.
- The antenna could be disconnected.
- The input mode (TV/Video) could be set improperly. See page 8.
- The tuner (AUTO TUNER SETUP) could be set improperly. See page 29.
- The TV station may be having difficulties. Check to see if other stations are working.
- Check to see that the batteries are still working and properly installed.
- Make sure the remote has a clear sight path to the TV.
- Check that the TV/CATV switch is in the proper position.
- You may be too far from the TV. You must be within 23 feet (7 meters).
- Use the remote control while pointing it at the screen.
- Make sure the channels have been programmed. See “Channel Summary” page 32.
- Check to see if the channel is locked. See “Channel Summary - Lock” page 32.
- Make sure the set did not become unplugged.
- Perhaps the ON/OFF TIMER is set. See page 48.
- Check to see if the Sleep Timer was set. See page 51.
- Are the POWER LED and the ON TIMER LED on the front panel of the television blinking alternately?
If you have just replaced the lamp, it is possible that the lamp has not been installed correctly. Try
installing the lamp again. (Refer to the table on the next page.)
This television is operated by a microprocessor. It is possible that external noise or interference is caus-
ing the problem. If the television does not function correctly, remove the electric plug from the wall out-
let and wait a while before inserting it into the wall outlet again and operating the television.
The power was interrupted and the clock was not reset. See page 30.
- Tint and Color may be improperly adjusted. See page 38.
- The VIDEO STATUS mode may be turned to the wrong setting. See page 41.
There could be interference from another electrical appliance, such as a computer, another TV or VCR.
Move any such appliances further away from the TV.
There could be interference a from high-wattage appliance, like a hairdryer or vacuum, operating near-
by. Move the antenna away from the appliance or change to a coaxial cable connection which is less
prone to interference.
A building or passing airplane can reflect the original signal and produce a second, slightly delayed
one. Adjust your antenna position.
Your antenna may be damaged, disconnected or turned. Check the antenna connection page 6 and in
your Quick Setup Guide. If the antenna is damaged, replace it.
