INFORMATION ON J TERMINAL
J Terminal (JLIP(Joint Level
Interface Protocol) Connector)
The J Terminal is used to connect the VCR to a personal
computer or similar device to allow computerized control of the
VCR during editing and certain other operations.

JLIP ID Number
Your VCR has its own JLIP ID number. This ID number must be
unique when your VCR is connected to another device via its J
terminal. The ID Number is preset to "1" at the factory. You can
change this number to any number between "1" and "99".
If it is necessary to change the JLIP ID number perform the
following steps.
ACCESS MAIN MENU

Press MENU.
ACCESS INITIAL SET
SCREEN

Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "INITIAL SET" by
pressing CH 5∞ or TIME SCAN %fi, then press OK or
TIME SCAN .
ACCESS JLIP ID NO. SET
SCREEN

Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "JLIP ID NO. SET" by
pressing CH 5∞ or TIME SCAN %fi, then press OK or
TIME SCAN .
SET JLIP ID NUMBER

Press NUMBER key to
enter the desired ID
number, then press OK.
RETURN TO NORMAL
SCREEN

Press MENU.
NOTE:
This VCR may not accept a command from your personal
computer such as:
Power ON/OFF while the VCR is in the Timer mode.
