Up to four of the functions listed at the bottom of this page
can be assigned to function buttons [F1] to [F4] so that each
function can be switched on or off by pressing the
corresponding button.
(For the assignment of functions: A Page 25 [FUNC1] to
[FUNC4] in the [OPERATION Menu].)
Example of factory setting
In the example above, the functions are assigned as shown
in the following table.
In the figure above, the lights in all the function buttons are
off, this indicates that all these functions are OFF.
When a function is not available on the camera, A---B will be
displayed.
Ⅵ Switching an assigned function on/off

When the [F1] button is pressed, the [BLACK STRETCH]
function assigned to the [F1] button is switched from OFF
to ON and the light in the button lights up
Memo :
● The on/off condition of each function button can be set
independently.

[F1]
button is pressed again, the
[BLACK
STRETCH]
function is switched from ON to OFF and the
light in the button turns off
Ⅵ Checking the assigned functions
Press the [MENU] button to display the functions assigned to
the function buttons for about 3 seconds, in up to 7
characters per function as shown in the figure below.
Memo :
● When BLACK STRETCH and BLACK COMPRESS are
assigned to two of the [F1] to [F4] buttons, it is not
permitted to switch the two functions ON simultaneously.
It is not permitted to switch both ALC + EEI and LOLUX
ON.
*1 This function is unavailable when connected to GY-HM790
series.
