PROBLEM
A disc cannot be played.
Not MP3 files but JPEG files are
played.
The MP3 control display appears on
the TV screen, but any operation
cannot be performed.
A disc cannot be played.
Not JPEG files but MP3 files are
played.
Hard to listen to broadcast because of
noise.
Continuous static during FM
broadcasts.
One-touch DVD play does not work
though you have connected AV
COMPU LINK cord correctly.
Suddenly, the system turns off by
itself.
The indications on the moving panel is
displayed upside-down.
NOTE:
Problems may be caused by the components connected to the system. So read also the manuals for the components carefully.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
No MP3 files are recorded on the disc.
MP3 files do not have the file extension
—.mp3, .Mp3, .mP3, or .MP3 in their file
names.
MP3 files are not recorded in the format
compliant with ISO 9660 Level 1 or 2.
The different types of files are recorded
on a disc.
The MP3/JPEG setting is set to “JPEG.”
Any MP3 files or JPEG files are not
recorded on the disc, or the disc is the
unplayable disc (such as CD-ROM).
No JPEG files are recorded on the disc.
JPEG files do not have the correct file
extension in their file names.
JPEG files are not recorded in the format
compliant with ISO 9660 Level 1 or 2.
The MP3/JPEG setting is set to “MP3.”
Antennas are disconnected.
The AM loop antenna is too close to the
center unit.
The supplied FM antenna is not properly
extended and positioned.
Beat Cut mode is not set properly while
listening to an AM broadcast.
The received signal is too weak.
The station is too far away.
AV COMPULINK MODE setting is
incorrect.
The Sleep or Auto Standby function is
activated.
DISP.SET selector is not set correctly.
SOLUTION
Replace the disc.
Add the file extension—.mp3, .Mp3,
.mP3, or .MP3—to their file names.

Replace the disc.

compliant application.)
The disc which contains the
different types of files may not be
played because of its disc
characteristics or recording
conditions.
When both MP3 files and JPEG files
are recorded on a disc, to play MP3
files, set the setting to “MP3.”

.JPG, .JPEG or any uppercase and
lowercase combination (such as
“.Jpg”)—to their file names. (See

Reconnect the antennas correctly

Try to change the Beat Cut mode.
