Setup
Note that some HDMI control functions may not work with
certain components and TV that are not compatible with them.
To use the HDMI control functions properly, it is recommended to
confirm the HDMI control functions usable with each connected
component by performing the steps described below. If a
function that is not available with a connected component is
found, the related setup should be set to off before using this
unit.

Check that this unit, the TV and the HDMI connection
capable components are connected through HDMI
cables.
Check that the HDMI control of the TV and the HDMI-
connectable components are enabled.
(For the setups of the TV and player components, refer to
their instruction manuals.)

1 Turn all of the HDMI-connected components ON.
2 Switch the TV input to an input source connected
through HDMI connection to this unit.
3 Set the input selector of this unit to select the
HDMI-connected input source and confirm that its
video is displayed and the audio is output from the
speakers properly.

1 Turn all of the HDMI-connected components ON.
2 Adjusts the volume with the remote control unit of
the TV.
Is the volume of this unit adjusted accordingly? (HDMI
Control confirmation)
3 Turn the TV OFF (standby) with its remote control
unit.
Are all of the components turned OFF? (Power Control
confirmation)
4 With all of the HDMI-connected components OFF,
start playing a player component.
Are all of the components turned ON and the inputs of this
unit and the TV switched automatically? (HDMI Link and
Power Control confirmations)
5 If the TV has the audio output selector, switch the
input selection and confirm that the appropriate
audio is output.
Is the appropriate audio output from this unit or the TV
according to the audio input selection of the TV? (TV
Control confirmation)
If the TV does not have the audio output selector, set "TV
CTRL" in the HDMI setup of this unit to "Off" and select the
audio output destination in "Audio Out".
If noise interferes with TV, set "Audio Out" to this unit or set
the audio output of the TV and recorder/player component
to PCM by referring to their instruction manuals.
6 Switch the TV input to the built-in tuner.
Is the input to this unit switched automatically to "OPT1"?

The HDMI control functions are not available during the following
operations.
− During speaker setup using test tone
− During auto setup (KRF-V9300D and KRF-V8300D)
− While the recording mode is set to on
− During auto memory of radio stations
