Sound adjustment
Midnight modeMidnight mode
Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital and DTS mode only
When watching movies at night, you might not be able to raise
the volume as loud as normal. Midnight mode compresses the
dynamic range of previously specified heavy sound passage
of the Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital and DTS mode sound track
(like scenes with sudden increases in volume) to minimize the
difference in volume between the scenes with heavy sound
passage and scenes with normal sound passage. This makes it
easy to hear all of the sound track, even when listening at low
volumes.
1 Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Midnight".
2 Press [ENTER].
3 Use [MULTI CONTROL /5] to select "ŸTrueHD" or
"ŸD/DTS".
Display Setting
"ŸTrueHD" Select it when in Dolby True HD mode.
"ŸD/DTS" Select it when in Dolby Digital or DTS mode.
4 Press [ENTER].
5 Use [MULTI CONTROL /5] to select the level.

"NIGHT Off" Midnight mode off
* "NIGHT Auto" can be selected only when "TrueHD" is selected
in step 3.
Some Dolby Digital or DTS software may not be compatible with
the Midnight mode.
Switching the main and sub audioSwitching the main and sub audio
Dolby Digital and DTS mode only
When playing a 2-language digital broadcast, multiplexed audio
broadcast or Dolby Digital multiplexed audio, the main audio and
sub audio can be switched.
1 Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Dual Mono".
2 Press [ENTER].
3 Use [MULTI CONTROL /5] to select audio.

"Main" Main audio
"Sub" Sub audio
"Main+Sub" Main audio + Sub audio
"Stereo"
Main audio on the L channel,
Sub audio on the R channel
The non-monaural multiplexed audio cannot be switched with
this unit. Try switching on the source component.
