TV Type
You must select the appropriate system mode for your
TV system.
• When the selected system does not coincide with
the system of your TV, normal color picture may not
be displayed.
[PAL] When this recorder is connected with PAL-TV.
[Auto] When this recorder is connected with Multi
system TV.
[NTSC] When this recorder is connected with
NTSC-TV.
Audio/Subtitle/Disc Menu Language
Select a language for the disc’s Menu, Audio, and
Subtitle.
[Original] Refers to the original language in which the
disc was recorded.
[Others] To select another language, press number
buttons then ENTER to enter the corresponding
4-digit number according to the language code list in
the reference chapter (see page 44).
Parent Control
Playback of some DVD VIDEOs can be limited
according to a predetermined level, such as the age
of the users. Scenes may be blocked or replaced with
different scenes.
Select [Parental Ctrl] on the setup menu.
- Parental
Selects the limitation level.
Rating one (1) has the most restrictions and rating
eight (8) is the least restrictive.
Note:
Password needs to change the parental level if
[Password Mode] option is set to [On].
- Area Code
Selects a code for an area as the playback limitation
level. See “Area Code” (page 44).
1. Select [Parental Ctrl] option then press B on the
[Initial Setup] menu
2. Press v / V to select the [Area Code] option then
press ENTER. [Area Code] menu appears.
3. Press v / V to enter the first character of the area
and press B.
4. Press v / V to enter the second character and
press ENTER.
