One-Touch Recording 25
A One-Touch Recording (OTR) is an immediate timed
recording from 30 minutes to eight hours long .......
Before you begin, make sure ...
<_The TV/VCR power is on and has a videotape with a
record tab.
<_ If necessary, rewind or fast forward the tape to the point
at which you want to begin recording.
Press the Number buttons or CH(annel) A/v
to select the channel you want to record.
Remember, if the TV/VCR is connected to a Cable
Box or Satellite Receiver, the TV/VCR must be on
channel 3 or 4. Select the channel you want to
record at the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.
Press SPEED to select a tape speed (SP or
SLP). Details are on page 24.
Press REC/OTR on the front of the TV/VCR to
select a recording length and start recording.
Each press of REC/OTRwill increase the recording
time by 30 minutes. You may select a maximum
recording length of eight hours.
You cannot start an OTR with the RECORD button
on the remote.

When recording finishes, the TV/VCR will turn
itself off.
Press REC/OTR on
the front of the
TVNCR.
Helpful Hints
To stop an OTR, press STOP/v.
To show the remaining time,
press DISPLAY. OTR and the
remaining recording time will
appear briefly.
The maximum recording time of
a 7--160 tape in SLP speed is 8
hours (assuming you start at the
beginning of the tape). A 7--120
tape has a maximum of 6 hours
recording time in SLP speed.
If the tape ends before the
recording's end time, the TV/VCR
will stop recording, eject the tape,
and turn itself off.
You can turn off the TV/VCR dur-
ing an OTR. The recording will
continue at the length you set.
