26 Timer Recording
Follow the steps below to program the TV/VCR to record TV pro-
grams while you're away from home. The TV/VCR will turn itself on,
record, and turn itself off automatically.
Before you begin, make sure ...
_:_The clock is set. If the clock is not set, MANUAL CLOCK SET
appears when you select TIMERPROGRAMMING. See pages 14-
15 to set the clock.
_:_Channels are set. Details are on pages eight and 70.
_ A tape is in the TV/VCR.
Press MENU. Press PLAY/A or STOP/V to select
TIMER PROGRAMMING. Press F.FWD/I_.

Press PLAY/A or STOP/V to select a program posi-
tion. Then, press F.FWD/I_.

Press PLAY/A or STOP/V until the channel number
appears. Then press F.FWD/i_. If the TV/VCR is con-
nected to a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver, the TV/VCR must
be on channel 3 or 4. Set CH as 03 or 04 in the Timer
Programming menu. Select the channel to be recorded on the
Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.

The current date will flash beneath DATE, For a one-time
recording, press PLAY/A to select the date you want
to record.
Or, to record a TV program at the same time on the same
channel every day, press STOP/V until EVRYDAY appears.
Or, to record a TV program at the same time on the same
channel on the same day of every week, for example every
Monday, press STOP/V until EVRYand the day of the week
appear together (EVRYMON, EVRY TUE, etc.).
Finally, press F.FWD/i_.

Example:

recording
• You should not operate the unit
during a timer recording.
• If the tape ends before the
recording is complete, the TV/VCR
will stop recording immediately
and eject the tape. The red REC
light will come on. Insert a differ-
ent tape to continue the recording.
Or press POWER to turn on the
TV/VCR.Thetimer recording will
not occur.
• The red REC light will flash during
a timer recording.
