lights for two seconds and then goes out. This indicates that the setting
is performed successfully.
The remote control is now ready to send commands to your converter.
Note
Depending on the model, year produced, brand, and type of CATV converter, some
models may not be compatible with the remote control.
Identifying your Cable Converter through the Search
method
(1) While pointing the front part of the remote control towards the infrared sensor
of the cable converter, press
DISPLAY
and then and hold them down for up
to two minutes. Be careful not to let the cable converter scan more than five
channels when the indicator starts to increase. If you continue to hold down
the buttons after five channel scans, the proper remote code can be passed
up and the two-minute cycle will have to be repeated.
The remote control then searches in order for the cable converter Brand
Code Number (listed on page 69).
(2) At the instant when the cable converter channel changes, release
DISPLAY
and and the procedure will be completed. If a channel change does not
occur on the cable converter within two minutes, read the identifying
instructions again and repeat the steps. Should a channel change still not
occur, the remote will most likely not operate your cable converter.
