Selecting a Subtitle Language
(Multi-Language Subtitles)
You can select a desired subtitle language with DVDs that
have subtitle data in multiple languages recorded on them.
1. Press
SUBTITLE
during playback.

to select the desired language.

Camera Angle (Multi-Angle)
With DVDs featuring recordings of images shot from
different angles, you can choose a desired viewing angle.
To check whether or not the disc is recorded with angles:
The jacket of discs that are recorded with angles will be marked
with
. Also, on this unit, when locations on discs that are
recorded with angles are played back, the
mark can be
displayed.

during the stop mode.
2. Press the

number button.
• The initial set-up menu will appear.
3. Press the
1
number button.
• The OSD SETUP screen will appear.
4. Press the
3
number button.
• The ANGLE menu will appear.
5. Press the
2
number button.
Menu setup is finished.
1. Press
ANGLE
during playback.
◆ The subtitle language can not be switched if the subtitle language
is not recorded, or if only one language is recorded.
◆ Switching the subtitle language may not be possible with some
titles. In this case, the mark will be displayed.

Tips
¶ To clear subtitles during playback, press
C
CLEAR
after first pressing
SUBTITLE
. You can also clear subtitles by selecting OFF in the subtitle
menu display.
¶ Subtitles can be cleared by selecting LAN. SETUP from the
INITIAL menu, and setting SUBTITLE to “OFF” (refer to page
53).
¶ For some titles, selection can be made using the menu.
In this case press the
MENU
button while the indicator is
displayed, display the menu screen and make your selection.

¶ The camera angle changes each time
you press the button.
Tips
¶ You can use the Multi-Angle function only with discs featuring
recordings of images shot from different camera angles.
¶ During Multi-Angle playback, the Angle indicator on the player
lights.
¶ For some titles, selection can be made using the menu.

displayed, display the menu screen and make your selection.

◆ Some titles may not enable switching between angles. If this
happens, the mark is displayed.
