Your HDD & DVD Recorder remote control will work with Samsung televisions and compatible brands.
Installing batteries in the Remote Control
1. Lift the cover at the back of the
remote control upward as shown.
. Install two AAA size batteries.
Make sure to match the “+” and “–”
ends of the batteries with the diagram
inside the compartment.
. Replace the cover.
Assuming typical TV usage, the
batteries last for about one year.
SOURCE button
Select input signal in external input mode (PROG, AV1, AV2,
AV3 or DV input).
DTV/ANALOGUE button
Select Digital/Analogue broadcasting.
STANDBY/ON button

REPEAT button
Allows you to repeat a title, chapter, track or disc.
Playback-related Buttons

TV VOL button
TV volume adjustment.
MENU button
Brings up the HDD & DVD Recorder’s setup menu.
EXIT button
TITLE LIST/DISC MENU button
Use this to enter the View Recording list/disc menu.
A, B, C, D button
Allows access to various function of HDD & DVD RECORDER.
INFO button
Press to display the programme information box in the screen
when you use DTV. Allows access to common functions of the
HDD & DVD Recorder. (See pages 58~60.)
GUIDE button
Press this to switch programme guide.
TEXT button
When you use DTV, press this button to select the Teletext OSD.
TV/RADIO button
In DTV mode, press this to switch TV or Radio mode
REC button
Use to make a recording on HDD/DVD-RAM/±RW/±R discs.
REC MODE button
Use this to set the desired recording time and picture quality.
(XP/SP/LP/EP).

OPEN/CLOSE button
To open and close the disc tray.
TV STANDBY/ON button

TV MUTE button
In TV mode, this operates as sound mute.
PROG button
Use this to select a TV programme.

SUBTITLE button
Press this to switch DVD’s subtitle language. When you use
DTV, press this button to select the subtitle.
TIMER button
Press to directly enter the Timer Recording Mode menu.
FAV LIST button
When you use DTV, press this button to switch between Favourite list.
REC PAUSE/TIME SHIFT button
Use this to pause during recording. In HDD mode, use this to
operate Time shift function.
MARKER button
Use this to bookmark a position while playing a disc.
AUDIO button
Press this to switch DVD's audio language.
When you use DTV, press this button to select the audio.
