Playing Discs
Various Play Mode
Functions
(Program Play, Shuffle Play,
Repeat Play, A-B Repeat Play)
You can set the following play modes:
• Program Play (page 39)
• Shuffle Play (page 41)
• Repeat Play (page 41)
• A-B Repeat Play (page 42)
Notes
• The play mode is canceled when:
–you open the front cover.
–you press [/1 and the player enters standby
mode.
• Before setting a play mode for Super Audio CDs,
select the playback layer or area you want to listen
to (page 37). Each play mode function works only
within the selected layer or playback area.
• You cannot activate Program Play and Shuffle
Play at the same time.
Selecting the disc mode (One
Disc or All Discs, ALL ALBUMS or
ONE ALBUM)
You can play one disc or all of the discs in the
player. In the case of DATA CDs, you can
play one album or all of the albums in the
disc. Before setting Shuffle Play or Repeat
Play, you must select whether to apply these
play modes to one disc or to all of the discs.
1 Press DISPLAY/FILE twice during
playback.
The Control Menu appears.
2 Press X/x to select or
(ONE/ALL DISCS) and press
ENTER.
The options for “ONE DISC/ALL
DISCS” appear.
3 Press X/x to select an item.
• ALL DISCS: Continuously plays all of
the discs.
• ONE DISC: Plays the selected disc.
–ALL ALBUMS*: Plays the selected
disc
–ONE ALBUM*: Plays the selected
album.
4 Press ENTER.
* DATA CD only

You can also select “ONE DISC/ALL DISCS” by
pressing ONE/ALL DISCS on the player.
Creating your own program
(Program Play)
You can play the contents of a disc in the order
you want by arranging the order of the tracks on
the disc to create your own program.
You can program up to 99 items. You can create
a program for all of the discs in the player.
1 Press DISPLAY/FILE twice (or once in
the case of DATA CDs).
The Control Menu appears.
