3 Press the red button (“REC”).
” appears next to the programme
which is set for timer recording. Your
recorder will automatically begin
recording when the programme starts.
Unlike a VCR, there is no need to turn
off the recorder before the timer
recording starts.

To stop recording during timer recording
Press x REC STOP.
Note that it may take a few seconds for the
recorder to stop recording.

To cancel the timer recording, select the
programme set for timer recording, and press the
red button (“Cancel”).
You can display the favourite channels set in the
Favourites List on the EPG display (page 47).
This recorder automatically adjusts the start/end
recording time for the programme set for EPG
timer recording even if the start/end time of the
programme has changed.

After selecting the programme you want to
record in the EPG display, you can check the
detailed settings for the timer.
You can set the timer for a total of 32
programmes, up to 8 days in advance.
Before you start recording…
Check that the HDD has enough available
space for the recording (page 82). You can
open up disc space by erasing titles
(page 67).
